The green barn the studio is named for

Studio

A studio, ten years
in the making.

Greenbarn is a creative studio in Dearborn, Michigan. We make photography, film, and design for brands that would rather look like themselves than like everyone else.

Most of what we know we learned somewhere else first. A decade of brand work across Bedrock, Cisco, the City of Detroit, and a long list of smaller shops taught us how a brand actually gets built and, more usefully, how it falls apart. We started Greenbarn to do that work directly, without the layers in between, and we scale the team to the job rather than the other way around.

About
the barn.

Evan's parents had a green barn behind the house, and it was where everyone ended up. A whole crew of us, most days, building things and taking them apart, long before any of it counted as a career.

Some of that crew still works together. The name came along because it was the most accurate thing we could think of, and because the studio runs the way the barn did. Whoever the work needs, in one room, making something.
